Do you know what four things done together are proven to help/reverse cardiovascular disease?
Doug and I recently hosted the Functional Forum MeetUp and the topic was Evolution of Cardiology. For decades we have known that these four things, when done together over time, are scientifically shown to dramatically improve the outcomes of cardiac patients.
Six years ago the US Government finally reviewed all the studies since the 50’s and authorized Medicare payment for these therapies as part of a cardiac rehab program.
I’m not discounting the amazing new advances in hi-tech cardiac care, but many medical providers don’t emphasize or even tell at-risk patients about these preventive health care practices to keep from having a heart attack in the first place. Why? Maybe it is because there is not a financial incentive. Perhaps they think their patients won’t bother to eat better, exercise, reduce their stress and build their relationships.
